  10. After about half an hour of trying to get through the level, I came up with
  11. this .LMP of E2M9 ("Fortress of mystery") on Nightmare. I do not really like
  12. Nightmare at all, but I *do* want to finish Doom on that skill level ... and
  13. have the .LMPs to prove it. As for the Nightmare skill level: Just like many
  14. others I should very much like to see an intermediate level in 1.3 (speed and
  15. accuracy of enemies as in Nightmare, but no respawning).

  17. As you can see from this demo, my "technique" is to run like hell ... just
  18. getting to the exit as quick as I can. Therefore I think that it is not very
  19. much fun watching these demos (I have finished several more levels on NM).
  20. The reason I am posting this one anyway, is that I think it is quite
  21. remarkable in one respect: The entire level takes less than 24 seconds to
  22. finish. I am sure it can be done one or two seconds faster, but I am not
  23. interested in competing for the fastest times on each level -- I merely want
  24. to finish each and every level on Nightmare one way or another ... Well, that
  25. is not entirely true ... I want to finish a level first, and then I try it
  26. again while going for 100% items and 100% secrets.

  28. In case anybody wants to know which controls I use: With my right hand I
  29. control a mouse (three buttons, but I only use the left and right ones (fire
  30. and forward)), and with my left hand I control the (left) Shift, Ctrl, Alt,
  31. Z, and X keys (respectively run, back, strafe, strafe left, strafe right).
